Index Versus Actively-Managed Fund Portfolios; Results Of A Study For Long-Term Investors

Although the success of investing across all asset classes in low-cost index funds has been widely documented, few researchers have compared the performance of a diversified portfolio of index funds versus a diversified portfolio of actively-managed funds.

This webinar will announce the results of a new study of two distinct portfolio strategies: a low-cost market-tracking index-fund portfolio versus an actively-managed fund portfolio.

The results strongly support the case for an all-index fund approach to long-term investing, which has practical implications to practitioners aiming for the highest probability of success in helping clients achieve financial goals.

At this webinar, you will learn:

  • why actively-managed fund portfolios do not perform better on a risk-adjusted basis.
  • why a portfolio of index funds has a greater probability for success than individual index funds.
  • why the case for an all index fund portfolio grows more compelling as the holding period expands.
  • the benefits of adding asset classes.
  • why using two or more active funds per asset class hurts active-fund investors.
  • how to position your firm in the marketplace.
