Facebook has yet again changed the way it allows applications post to your profile.

The social network has updated its interface and it changed the permissions that allows apps like ours to post content to your profile. Facebook now also requires a review of apps like ours to ensure it meets their terms of use.b2ap3_thumbnail_Facebook_logo_square.png

Unfortunately, this has disrupted Advisor Products and other companies relying in Facebook’s application programming interface. So advisors using our system have not been able to automatically post our educational status updates about wealth management to their Facebook profiles for nearly a week.

Steve Gordonson, Advisor Products CTO, has been updating our Facebook integration to comply with all of the changes. He is testing the changes and expects submit the necessary revisions to Facebook tomorrow or Friday for review. Since this is a new process, we do not know how long it will take for Facebook to review and approve the Advisor Products app. But we are one of many thousands of companies using the Facebook API and Facebook does not want to inconvenience users too much.

While we’re waiting to fix this issue, you can manually copy our pre-reviewed FINRA tweets from the social media dashboard located in the Joomla BackOffice and paste them to Facebook.

We apologize for the inconvenience and interruption of our automated tweeting service.
